SA cut ties with Imbel 5 or 6 years ago. They are all made in the US now, and from US sourced parts. They just won't say who's parts.

It made me leery of buying one of their BHP copies. I have two Phillipine s. Both of them have been fine. One was my carry gun for 10 years. RIA for the lower end. Girsan for the win. So far so good. It has a 3. The Girsan fit and finish is par with all and above the Rock Island.
I have replaced all the springs with Wilson and dropped in no problem. Added a MSH with mag well. And changed out the ambi thumb to a single side Wilson. I got the Girsan mainly to try my hand at swapping parts, fitting parts, etc It was and came with its own branded Red Dot sight, which actually works.
I only have a few mags through it, but have dried fired with a snap cap thousands of times lol, so I can't comment on long term use. The barrel had a great polish and throat job on it as well from the factory. They claim the slide is bar stock but wont comment to forged or not Can bar stock be cast.. I guess it can.
Look at the Canik line of pistols also from Turkey. People bought those by hundreds for bucks. Everyone said they were POS's. I got mine when in the low high range. Now they over bucks. The AR really serves no purpose other than bragging rights. It is not a great home defense weapon, and is not used for hunting. Unless you have some sort of connection, even 'cheap' AR's if you can find one in stock are fetching ridiculous prices. I thought I paid too much for my Colt but the way things are now I can almost get double what I paid for, and I've been considering it. Chances are the hysteria will die down and prices will return to normal, but that may not happen for a few years.
Depends on your patience really. As fast said, it's fairly useless unless you're expecting a zombie apocalypse never going to happen or a Red Dawn; it's too small for deer. It's a great varmint gun or sporting rifle, but considering the cost of ammo right now, it's hardly worth hitting paper so its 'uses' are few.
However, nobody 'needs' an AR15 anymore than they need a lifted truck and horsepower; get it if you want it. Screw what anyone else says. The AR also comes in a whole range of calibers with being an awesome deer cartridge.

I already have a 92FS 9mm Berretta. And i have a old M91 30 that i moded out for hunting and stuff. Only ben ones with it So theres still a couple things i really want. Like said above i still want a shotgun for the home. And maybe a. Other than that the 2 other i am asking about. But at the moment i think everyone is right. Might just go with the for the meantime. Then wait a bit for the prices to go down on the AR's and ammo. Besides with me wanting the CCW i would prefer to carry the tham my heavy as berretta.
