Should i buy a 1911 or a ar15

I feel like I should have the capability to deliver 8 rounds of. I have a Glock I have an FNP Yet, I feel Fuck Turkey. Go Philippino if you want a bargain basement Quote History. Quoted: No. To this day they still support Terrorism. I don't buy anything Turkish made. Get a Colt, Get a Springfield. Wow man. Is Tisas like a real thing? Asking for a friend. Just say NO to any Turkish or Brazilian s.

The Filipino ones are really cheap too, but at least they actually work right. Don't buy junk. Get a Dan Wesson and you'll have no regrets.

If it's out of the price range then pass on a I had a RIA compact and between the cast steel frame, plastic mainspring housing and it being unwilling to use most magazines other than the ones that came with it, I couldn't wait to trade it off for a Glock.

I do have a , a Springfield TRP, but those are real pricey, yet it shoots anything with any magazine reliably. Springfield does have a good assortment of 's for less cost, however. Too many American options to get the most American gun ever rather than one made from recycled hubcaps in the Philippines or Turkey.

Quoted: To be honest, when buying a you should only go for quality. Get a Springfield or a Ruger. Both companies make quality low end s. Aren't Springfields still made in Brazil? Get what you want OP. My buddy got a Tisas and likes it. The LGS has sold over a dozen of them and hadn't heard any complaints. SA cut ties with Imbel 5 or 6 years ago. They are all made in the US now, and from US sourced parts. They just won't say who's parts.

I've never know anyone who had a problem with their Tisas or Zigana guns. It made me leery of buying one of their BHP copies. I have two Phillipine s. Both of them have been fine. One was my carry gun for 10 years. RIA for the lower end. Girsan for the win. So far so good. It has a 3. The Girsan fit and finish is par with all and above the Rock Island.

I have replaced all the springs with Wilson and dropped in no problem. Added a MSH with mag well. And changed out the ambi thumb to a single side Wilson. I got the Girsan mainly to try my hand at swapping parts, fitting parts, etc It was and came with its own branded Red Dot sight, which actually works.

I only have a few mags through it, but have dried fired with a snap cap thousands of times lol, so I can't comment on long term use. The barrel had a great polish and throat job on it as well from the factory. They claim the slide is bar stock but wont comment to forged or not Can bar stock be cast.. I guess it can.

Look at the Canik line of pistols also from Turkey. People bought those by hundreds for bucks. Everyone said they were POS's. I got mine when in the low high range. Now they over bucks. The Tisas is from a different company, but probably just as good as the Girsan. I would get the AR before you can no longer get them. Ted, Jan 23, Yeah thats what i was thinking also but when i do apply for my CCW i have to put what weapon i will be carrying to get it approved, Im not sure the process on switching that after if i do go from my barretta to the kimber.

And the way things are going now a days i would really like to start having a gun around to keep my family safe in case any crazy person desides to shoot up a place where at. I would go with an AR15 with all the laws that are coming around. The only problem is with the buying hysteria going on finding a decent one is going to be tough and even if you do, you're going to end up paying somewhere between times more than what it's normally worth. BL1, Jan 23, I say the It serves an actual purpose as a defense weapon.

The AR really serves no purpose other than bragging rights. It is not a great home defense weapon, and is not used for hunting. Unless you have some sort of connection, even 'cheap' AR's if you can find one in stock are fetching ridiculous prices. I thought I paid too much for my Colt but the way things are now I can almost get double what I paid for, and I've been considering it. Chances are the hysteria will die down and prices will return to normal, but that may not happen for a few years.

Depends on your patience really. As fast said, it's fairly useless unless you're expecting a zombie apocalypse never going to happen or a Red Dawn; it's too small for deer. It's a great varmint gun or sporting rifle, but considering the cost of ammo right now, it's hardly worth hitting paper so its 'uses' are few.

However, nobody 'needs' an AR15 anymore than they need a lifted truck and horsepower; get it if you want it. Screw what anyone else says. I wouldn't get one unless I had a shotgun or handgun first though. Zissou, Jan 23, Actually guys, the AR platform is a great gun for hunting. The AR also comes in a whole range of calibers with being an awesome deer cartridge.

Then you have the 6. As for the choice between the AR and Kimber, I'd go with the Just be aware that Kimbers can be picky about what what kind of ammo you feed them. You'll want to put at least rounds of hardball through it and test several different loads till you find one that feeds reliably and is accurate.

That is why I like Glock and Sigs. They take whatever ammo you want to use anytime. Ok guys great info and really true words i can go by to make a choice.

I already have a 92FS 9mm Berretta. And i have a old M91 30 that i moded out for hunting and stuff. Only ben ones with it So theres still a couple things i really want. Like said above i still want a shotgun for the home. And maybe a. Other than that the 2 other i am asking about. But at the moment i think everyone is right. Might just go with the for the meantime. Then wait a bit for the prices to go down on the AR's and ammo. Besides with me wanting the CCW i would prefer to carry the tham my heavy as berretta.

As far as glocks go there not for me.
